Introducing the New Ardoq Experience: A Simpler, Smarter, More Powerful Platform

Enterprise Architecture is at an inflection point. Organizations are asking more of their architecture teams than ever before: faster decisions, broader stakeholder engagement, and clearer alignment between technology and business strategy. Yet the tools designed to support that ambition have not always evolved at the same pace.

Today, we're introducing a New Ardoq Experience - a major evolution of our platform. It's designed to remove friction from every core journey: from the way you navigate and model data, to how you surface insights and communicate impact across the organization. This is Ardoq redesigned around how architecture teams actually work, at every stage of maturity.

A Platform That Adapts to How You Actually Work

Over the past year, we have worked closely with hundreds of organizations that use Ardoq in their day-to-day work. Across industries and levels of maturity, a consistent pattern emerged. While the platform provided strong capabilities, getting to the right information often required too many steps. Onboarding new team members, particularly business users, was more difficult than we envisioned it could be. The gap between having great data and communicating its value to leadership still remained too wide.

This gap directly impacts whether architecture becomes embedded in how an organization operates or remains confined to a small group of specialists.

With the New Ardoq Experience, we set out to address this gap. Not by altering the depth of what Ardoq can do, but by making that depth easier to access, navigate, and apply in real-world scenarios.

1. Guided Experiences That Accelerate Time to Value

ardoq Guided Experiences That Accelerate Time to ValueA key part of this evolution is a more guided and contextualized experience for users. The redesigned homepage provides a clear, customized starting point by bringing together the most important metrics, assets, and actions tailored to each organization’s needs. Navigation has been streamlined with logical grouping and a collapsible sidebar that keeps essential tools within reach while maximizing screen space.

For organizations just getting started with Ardoq, guided onboarding provides a structured set of steps to build a foundational data model and generate insights from the outset. For existing customers, the experience is highly configurable, allowing teams to customize the insights they want displayed.

The outcome is simple: less time searching, more time on meaningful work.

2. A More Intuitive Approach to Modeling and Data Management

ardoq A More Intuitive Approach to Modeling and Data Management

Maintaining accurate and connected architecture data is one of the most persistent challenges for any organization. The New Ardoq Experience introduces a more seamless way to bring data into the platform, work with it visually, and ensure it remains up to date over time.

Teams can now integrate external systems using a no-code approach, reducing dependency on engineering resources. At the same time, capabilities like the AI Visual Importer make it possible to transform diagrams and unstructured inputs from a whiteboard or PDF into structured architecture data with minimal effort.

The modeling experience itself has also been refined. Users can explore, edit, and update data directly within the context of their visualizations, without needing to switch between multiple views. The redesigned Component Overview Page consolidates key information, relationships, and actions into a single, actionable interface.

Alongside these improvements, governance remains a central focus. Built-in guardrails help define which relationships and component types are valid in the architecture, preventing inconsistencies before they happen, while role-based controls allow sensitive data to be shared securely. Together, these changes make it easier to scale architecture practices without compromising data quality.

3. A New Discover Experience

ardoq A New Discover Experience

The New Ardoq Experience continues to support the different needs of architects and business users, while bringing greater consistency to how they interact with the platform.

For business users, Ardoq Discover becomes a more powerful tool to engage with architecture. It provides a clear entry point, making it easier to explore data, navigate across domains, and uncover the insights needed to support decisions, without relying on specialized knowledge or complex workflows.

At the same time, this experience is now more consistent and easier to manage behind the scenes. Discover is now more closely aligned with the core platform, so administrators can configure access, structure data, and maintain governance through a single, unified approach. This reduces duplication, simplifies setup, and makes it easier to scale architecture practices across the organization.

Architects retain the full flexibility and control required to model and govern the architecture in detail, while the broader organization benefits from a more accessible and reliable way to engage with it.

4. Clearer Insights That Support Better Decisions

As architecture becomes more central to strategic decision-making, the ability to communicate insights clearly is increasingly important. The New Ardoq Experience strengthens this capability by making it easier to present data in ways that resonate with different stakeholders.

Enhanced dashboard filtering allows the same dataset to be explored from multiple perspectives - by department, lifecycle stage, strategic rating, or any relevant dimension - without duplicating reports or maintaining separate dashboard versions. Improved visual formatting helps highlight trends, risks, and priorities more effectively. This makes it easier to tailor communication to different audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership.

The focus is shifting from simply reporting to enabling more informed and confident decisions.

5. AI That Improves Data Quality and Surfaces Insights Faster

ardoq AI That Improves Data Quality and Surfaces Insights Faster

AI is becoming an important part of how organizations work with data, but its value depends on how well it aligns with real workflows. In Ardoq, AI is designed to support architecture work directly, rather than operate as a separate layer.

With the New Ardoq Experience, AI becomes a natural part of how teams explore and understand their architecture.

The AI Chat Assistant allows users to ask questions in plain language and receive clear, context-aware answers grounded in their data. Instead of navigating through reports or building queries manually, teams can move directly from question to insight.

At the same time, capabilities such as the AI Query Builder make advanced analysis more accessible by translating natural language into structured queries, while the Foundation Insights Agent proactively identifies data quality issues, inconsistencies, and risks across the architecture.

Together, these capabilities help teams uncover insights faster, improve data quality, and reduce reliance on specialized expertise.

What This Means for You

For organizations evaluating Enterprise Architecture platforms, the New Ardoq Experience offers a more accessible, scalable approach. It reduces the time required to adopt the platform, lowers the barrier for stakeholder engagement, and makes it easier to demonstrate value early.

For our existing customers, it provides a more intuitive and connected way of working, while preserving the flexibility and depth that Ardoq is known for.

In both cases, the goal is the same: to ensure that architecture is not only well-documented but actively used to guide decisions across the business.
