Recognition arrives as Ardoq’s AI-first platform and GraphLake acquisition redefine enterprise architecture, and as customers name Ardoq a 2026 Gartner® Peer Insights™ Customers’ Choice*

OSLO, NORWAY, 19 October 2026: Ardoq, the AI-first enterprise architecture (EA) platform, today announced it has been named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant® for Enterprise Architecture Tools, its sixth consecutive year as a Leader.

The recognition follows a year in which Ardoq relaunched as an AI-first platform, acquired GraphLake, and was named a 2026 Gartner® Peer Insights™ Customers’ Choice for Enterprise Architecture Tools, receiving a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars from 65 reviews as of Jan 2026.

Enterprise architecture is moving from documenting the enterprise to driving decisions about it. As AI governance rises up the executive agenda, architects are being asked to ground those decisions in live, trustworthy data. Ardoq has built its platform for that shift.

“Being named a Leader once is an achievement. To us, six years in a row means we’ve been recognized again, in a market that keeps changing and where we are investing and developing a product for tomorrow as well as today,” said Erik Bakstad, CEO and Co-Founder of Ardoq. “We didn’t get here by being the loudest. I feel we got here by listening to customers and building what they needed before they could fully describe it.”

Built to anticipate what customers need next

“Architects shouldn’t have to wait on their EA platform,” said Ian Stendera, Chief Product Officer at Ardoq. “We build for what they’ll need next, not what they asked for last year. That’s why we are consistently innovating and brought GraphLake in to give the enterprise graph traceability for time, scenarios, and decisions.”

That pace shows in what Ardoq has shipped:

  • AI-first platform (May 2026). The Omnipresent AI Assistant, AI Import Builder and Custom Agents reason on customers’ live architecture graph.
  • GraphLake (June 2026). The acquisition brings time-aware queries, native scenario branching and decision-trace provenance to the enterprise graph, with phased rollout through H2 2026.
  • A redesigned experience (April 2026). The new Ardoq experience makes architecture easier to navigate, understand, and act on.
  • Pace of delivery. Ardoq has already shipped over 52 features in 2026, and is set to exceed its innovation velocity year over year.

Customer-backed recognition

“Ardoq lets architecture drive the decision instead of documenting it after the fact.”

- Hamish Parker, Head of Strategy & Architecture, Asahi Europe & International

In April 2026, Ardoq was named a Customers’ Choice in the Gartner Peer Insights “Voice of the Customer” for Enterprise Architecture Tools, based on 65 reviews as of Jan 2026. Ardoq received:

  • A 95% Willingness to Recommend score
  • A 4.9/5 Support Experience rating and a 4.7/5 Product Capabilities rating
  • An overall rating of 4.8/5

Customers are putting the platform to work on decisions, not documentation. Tenneco is building six AI agents with Ardoq’s MCP server and has reclaimed 1.25 FTE within twelve months.
